Spotlight

Fall 2012

1) Save the Date: Feast of Tables
This year's Feast of Tables is quickly approaching. This annual celebration of community and fund raising event will be held on April 27th beginning at 5pm. This year's event will be held at New Cedar Grove Church (100 Maryvale Drive; Cheektowaga), tickets selling at $20pp.

2) Partnership of Power: Gamaliel WNY
VOICE-Buffalo and its sister organization in Niagara County, Niagara Organizing Alliance for Hope (NOAH) , have a long history of working together on the tough issues that impact our community. Since November of last year, the leadership of both VOICE and NOAH have been meeting to discuss how to take this partnership to the next level...

3) Public Transportation
"This is Our Life" is a joint campaign of the Niagara Organizing Alliance for Hope (NOAH) and VOICE-Buffalo calling for more investment and representation in the public transportation system serving the Greater Western New York area.

4) Winning on the Issues
Two member congregations of VOICE-Buffalo - Stop the Violence Coalition and Back to Basics Ministries - were tired of the violence plaguing their neighborhoods and claiming the lives of their young so they decided to act!

5) Fire of Faith Ignites the Spirit
As an affiliate member of the Gamaliel Foundation's international network of faith-based community organizing efforts, VOICE-Buffalo will be participating in a three year campaign that is designed to bring the fire and passion of the Spirit back to our congregations, our economy and our democracy.
