As you know, for 18 years VOICE-Buffalo has worked diligently to improve living conditions in the City of Buffalo and Western New York. Our work resulted in the blue rat-proof garbage cans being used in the city and ultimately throughout the wider community.
VOICE-Buffalo Public Meeting Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 3:30PM Westminster Presbyterian Church 724 Delaware Ave., Buffalo
For the last decade we have consistently warned of the danger of urban sprawl and supported smart growth legislation.
Last year we fought to reverse the arbitrary and misguided cuts in child care subsidies and succeeded.
This year we are deeply involved in Four key issues – any one of which warrants your attendance at our Public Meeting (see the attachment).
By attending and bringing your friends, family and congregation members you will show your commitment to building a better community!!

VOICE-Buffalo is grateful for the support we receive from the Gamaliel Foundation. The Gamaliel Foundation and its affiliates create national issue campaigns to improve life in local neighborhoods and metropolitan regions. At a time when community organizing is in the national conversation, these issues, grown from grassroots listening campaigns, are: Immigration, Healthcare, Transportation, Jobs, and Housing. The Gamaliel Foundation continues to provide its affiliate organizations with tools to train and develop leaders and staff who create powerful statewide and local organizations.
